Commonly known as sweet box a hardy, slow growing evergreen shrub with its own intense, vanilla like fragrance.

Produces tiny, creamy-white flowers from December to March.

Known for its powerful, sweet scent described as a mix of honey and vanilla.

Dense, glossy, dark green leaves provide year-round structure.

Flowers are followed by glossy black berries that persist through summer.

Typical Final height of 2m and a spread of 1m but can be kept smaller with pruning.

Thrives in partial to deep shade.

Soil: Prefers moist but well-drained soil but it is remarkably tolerant of dry shade once established.
