Magnolia - Stellata ‘Rosea’

Magnolia Stellata ‘Rosea’ are one of the earliest flowering magnolias. An excellent rounded medium-sized deciduous Tree/Shrub. These are easy to grow plants thand need a permanent place to thrive with neglect. They will flourishin spring and early summer, Can be grown as a shrub or an ornamental tree.

Rosea prefers exposure to sunlight even though it can thrive in partial shade. Plant it in a sheltered spot in moist soil that is well-drained. It will adapt to a wide range of soils, apart from dry and chalky ones. It grows shallow roots that absorb nutrients and m oisture, so make sure not to plant it deep in the soil.Does not necessarily require pruning. If you still wish to trim it to maintain its shape and size, do it right after the flowering season. Once established, they will turn drought tolerant. But regular watering will enhance their blooming performance. Cover the base of the plant with bark mulch to retain moisture. Can be grown in the ground or container.
