Magnolia 'Betty' is a popular, compact, deciduous shrub or small tree (4-6m) from the "Little Girl" series, known for large, fragrant, deep reddish-purple and white tulip shaped flowers that bloom in mid to late spring. It is hardy and relatively low-maintenance, and thrives in full sun or partial shade in well-drained, slightly acidic soil.

Flowers: Deep pink/purple on the outside, creamy white on the inside.

Blooming Period: April-May, often blooming later than other varieties to avoid frost.

Size: Generally grows 4-6 meters tall and wide, suitable for small gardens or as a specimen plant.
