Hydrangea Paniculata - Pink Lady

The 'Pink Lady' is a hardy, deciduous panicle hydrangea prized for its large, cone-shaped flower clusters that change colour as they mature. Starting as a creamy white in mid-summer, the blooms gradually transition to a soft, rosy pink from the edges inward by late summer and Autumn. Unlike mophead varieties, this plant's pink transition is triggered by temperature and daylight changes rather than soil pH.

Large, fragrant, conical panicles that attract bees and butterflies.

An upright, bushy shrub typically reaching a height and spread of 1.5–2.5 metres.

Extremely hardy surviving severe winters across the UK.

Thrives in full sun or partial shade. Sunnier spots often produce more intense pink coloration.

Prefers moist, well-drained soil. Adaptable to various soil types.

Prune in late winter or early spring (typically March) to encourage vigorous new growth and large flowers.

Requires regular watering, especially during dry spells, as it does not tolerate drought well.
