Evergreen shrub, also known as Japanese Spindle Tree, looks great all year round thanks to its distinctive foliage. Its new growth emerges as bright white foliage in spring, gradually deepening to glossy, dark green as it matures.

Produces small, inconspicuous, creamy-green flowers during the summer months.

This shrub has a dense, upright, and compact growth habit, making it ideal for low hedging, borders, or container planting.

It is a fully hardy shrub, resilient in cold winter temperatures

Thrives in both full sun and partial shade; however, its variegation (the white new growth) is more pronounced when grown in a sunny position.

Will grow happily in most soil types provided the soil is moist and well-drained. It is drought tolerant once established.

This is a low-maintenance, fuss-free plant. Little pruning is required, but it can be trimmed in late spring to encourage a second flush of new white foliage later in the season.
