Cotoneaster × Suecicus - Coral Beauty
£7.50
Coral Beauty is a popular, low growing evergreen shrub widely used as a weed suppressing groundcover.
It is highly valued for its year round glossy foliage, small white flowers in late spring, and prolific bright coral-red berries in autumn.
A dense, prostrate shrub with arching, "herringbone" patterned branches that can cascade over walls or banks
Small, oval, glossy dark green leaves that remain on the plant year-round.
Masses of small creamy white flowers appear in May and June, followed by decorative orange red berries that persist into winter, providing food for birds.
Reaches full spread of 1.5–2.5 metres.
Thrives in full sun or partial shade, though it can tolerate moderate shade.
Adaptable to most soil types.
Fully hardy , making it suitable for exposed sites and cold climates.
Once established, it is very low-maintenance and drought-tolerant.
Light pruning after fruiting helps maintain symmetry; hard pruning should be avoided as it can reduce the next season's berries.
