Pansies are technically short lived perrenials. Although they can come back the next year they struggle with the temp change. So they are treated as cold weather annuals .

Edibility: Flowers are edible and frequently used as garnishes for salads, cakes, and cocktails.

Seasonality: They thrive in cool weather (autumn and spring) and often stop blooming when temperatures exceed 24°C.

Maintenance: Regular deadheading (removing spent blooms) is essential for both to encourage continuous flowering.
