A widely considered one of the finest winter-flowering shrubs you can add to a garden. Prized for its intoxicating, heady fragrance, this specific cultivar produces clusters of deep pink buds that open into pale blush-pink and white flowers during the bleakest months of the year (usually January to March).

The original seedling was raised by Alan Postill, a master propagator at the famous Hillier Nurseries in the UK. He selected and named this stunning hybrid in 1982 in honour of his wife.

Thrives in full sun or light shade.

Plant in moderately fertile, humus-rich, and moisture-retentive soil.

It requires good drainage; it will not tolerate drought or waterlogged roots.

Choose your permanent and avoid transplanting it once established.

Keep pruning to an absolute minimum, as the plant is susceptible to die-back. Only trim lightly after flowering to remove misplaced branches.Hardiness:

It is borderline hardy in the UK.

This means Protect by applying a thick mulch in autumn.
