A popular, mat-forming perennial grown primarily for its dense, woolly, and intensely silver-grey foliage.

Unlike standard Lamb's Ears, the 'Silver Carpet' cultivar rarely flowers, allowing the plant to direct its energy into creating a clean, weed-suppressing groundcover!

Thick, velvet-textured, oval leaves covered in fine silver-white hairs.

Low-growing, dense mat reaching a height of about 10–20cm and a spread of 45–60cm.

Seldomly produces flower spikes, preventing the "scruffy" look that standard varieties get after blooming.

Fully hardy across the UK .

It behaves as an evergreen or semi-evergreen, though it may die back during particularly wet or harsh winters before returning strongly in the spring.
